Primeira fase da Copa da Liga Inglesa chega ao fim

70 clubes da segunda à quarta divisão brigaram por 35 vagas na próxima fase, onde entram os 11 da Premier League que não disputam competição europeia

 

Nessa segunda-feira (10) terminou a primeira fase da Copa da Liga Inglesa 2026/2027. Todos os 24 clubes da EFL Championship (segunda divisão), todo os 24 da EFL League One (terceira divisão) e 22 da EFL League Two (quarta divisão) entraram em campo.

Após jogos únicos, 35 avançaram para a segunda fase, onde já estavam os 11 clubes da Premier League (primeira divisão) que não estão disputando competição europeia. A terceira fase terá os 23 vencedores mais os nove clubes da Premier League que estão na Liga dos Campeões da UEFA, Liga Europa e Conference League.

Em seguida, oitavas e quartas de final. As semifinais são a única fase com jogos de ida e volta. A final será no dia 21 de março. O Manchester City é o atual campeão. Em 66 edições, o maior vencedor é o Liverpool, com dez troféus.
